Configuration Manager/Quality Assurance Manager
OBXtek is recruiting for a Configuration Manager/QA Manager providing effective configuration management support to enable the Project Lead (PL) to control cost, schedule, and performance of the RCAS-FMS Portfolio (RESERVE COMPONENT AUTOMATION SYSTEM/FORCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM).
The following lists a sample of the tasks for this position:
Configuration Management.
Execute and provide assistance to the PL in the full range of configuration management (CM) activities, to include supporting the assessment of and coordination with the Prime Integrator's CM activities.
Other CM support shall minimally include:
Develop and implement procedures, monitor and report on product deliverables, track tasks and action items, and prepare and coordinate correspondence and documentation.
Review configuration management processes, consider evolving internal policy and external processes, develop revisions to, or new, processes as necessary, and assist in the implementation of the approved changes.
Process PL RCAS, FMS and DRRS-A official items such as documents, media, etc.
Support the development and maintenance of configuration management plans and processes.
Monitor configuration control and configuration status for conformance with the American Standards Institute/Electronic Industries Alliance Standard 649 (National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management).
Provide support of change management activities for the Technical Configuration Control Board.
Conduct andor participate in CM audits.
Monitor, track, and audit the CM automated tool process.
Assist the RCAS PO in the Lab Configuration Audit.
Other CM process issues as required.
Configuration Management Library.
Maintain all applicable configuration baseline documentation.
All applicabledocuments needed to perform tasking will be made available in the central program library.
Maintain record copies of all applicable plans and deliverables.
Maintain records of transmission and receipt of all GFI/GFE.
Maintain records of all release baselines.
Receiving, recording and tracking all contract deliverable items both documentation and software.
Performing Lab Configuration Audits (LCAs) with the Prime Integrator.
Attending counterpart meetings with the Prime Integrator for updates on the status of the project.
Conducting the Final Media Reviews for Project Releases.
Coordinating and conducting the Technical Configuration Control Board for approval of Project Releases.
Providing copies of documentation and software to Government upon request.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree required.
8-10 years of relevant CM experience.
Self-motivated with a proven track record of having a professional level technical customer service and support experience.
Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to handle multiple priorities.
Some travel may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
