Responsibilities:
Position Description:
Responsible for assisting with specific acquisition programs. Provide on-sight operational support to the Government Product and Deputy Product Managers responsible for the development, integration, test, and production of soldier equipment such as Precision Targeting Systems (Locators, Designators, and Markers) for the Dismounted Soldier, Forward Observer, and Joint Terminal Attack Controller. Point of contact for all open actions/taskers for the Product and Project Managers, PEO, and DOD, Program Quarterly Reviews and SharePoint implementation. Ensure all actions/taskers are met and executed according to the suspense directed by the Combat Developer, PEO, DOD or Congress. Plan, coordinate, and provide program oversight IAW DOD acquisition guidelines for current and future SPTD programs related to milestone documentation, programmatic assessment for leaders, staff call updates, security (SIPR Room Operation), briefings (ACAT II, PSR, AAE Reviews, SMART Charts, Quarterlies, WSR, Sand Charts, LIRA), Industry Day Events, Facility & Storage Container Management, and SharePoint population. Compile and report on programs and budgets (FSA), prepare presentations and other materials to support SPTD, PM SSL, PEO, and DOD programming and operational processes, and prepare requirements documentation information as needed. Provides guidance and leadership in providing effective methods to resolve problems, to answer questions, to correct deficiencies quickly, to evaluate support management, and to ensure the PdM/DPM objectives are being met in a timely manner. Works closely with the Project/Product Management Offices, Product Directors, the PEO and other offices to provide guidance and support on various issues such as resource requirements and quality of life initiatives;
Duty station is Fort Belvoir, VA.

Qualifications:
BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university with courses in business administration, management, plus fourteen (14) or more years of progressive and relevant experience in field, including demonstrated specialist skills or MS degree and twelve (12) years or more relevant experience of Ph.D. and eight (8) years or more relevant experience.
Must demonstrate oral and written communication skills that commensurate with position requirements.
Requires demonstrated experience to coach and positively influence the behavior of others.
Skills/Qualifications Requirements:
Prior experience in combat arms or appropriate acquisition discipline (Level II or III certification)
Good oral and written communications, teaming skills, and analytical capabilities
Advanced knowledge of DoD staffing procedures
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and Outlook
An active security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Office is located off site at: Fort Belvoir, VA.
Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
