The prospective candidate will play an important role in our organizationas a Senior IT Engineer supporting the Enterprise Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate is a highly motivated individual and must be responsible, assertive, detail oriented, flexible; make sound decisions and most importantly a team player. The individual must be a self-starter who will assist in the planning and management of daily activities and workload for the Engineering team and works effectively with minimal supervision in a highly dynamic environment. The candidate will provide expertise in future and sustainment needs. Candidate will be responsible for systems design and planning, future requirements, assist with scheduling engineering activities, requirements gathering and execution, hardware/software design oversight, systems integration, and be proficient in issue escalation and resolution through proper contracting channels. Candidate will focus on researching and providing solutions for all system related problems and recommend new and emerging technologies through their respective team lead that can propel the organization forward. Candidate must be able to work with the customer to gather requirements and be responsible for providing weekly and monthly status reports. Candidate must poses a strong technical background and be able to coordinate engineering activities with other technology areas such as Network Operations, Linux Enterprise Environment, Database, Help Desk, and Applications Development.
Major Duties:
Develop and document project plans for management and customer review
Create, and maintain documents in support of the systems (i.e., SOPs, Reference Guides, TFMs, diagrams, etc.).
Propose and recommend best practices for systems reliability, scalability, redundancy, and availability.
Maintain proper security posture for all Window systems supporting Army Civilian Personnel Systems
Write Exceptions and POAMs as needed if and when vulnerabilities are not mitigated
Troubleshoot and find solutions to problems that are escalated to the team.
Participate in annual COOP exercise
Attend weekly meetings with upper management and provide weekly and monthly status reports
Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met

Performs basic systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.

Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
Performs testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Provides technical support, diagnoses and resolves operating/hardware system problems.
Provides assistance to higher-level systems engineers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
Required Skills:
Five (5) years experience with implementing Windows O/S.
Five (5) years experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Five (5) years experience with implementing Citrix Presentation Server
Understand network topologies and communications
Able to speak and convey technical ideas to upper management team and technical staff
Able to hold meetings, manage multiple projects and high priority tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced environment support multiple customers at once
Strong track record in leading a technical team and in building client relationships

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
