Senior Systems Engineer

Description Leidos is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility to work on site in Huntsville, AL or Ft. Belvoir, VA or Dahlgren, VA. Our Systems Engineer will provide advisory and assistance services (A&AS) to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Special Programs Directorate. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with excellent communication skills to collaborate closely with customer and program personnel as well as Leidos team members. Primary Responsibilities Represent MDA and coordinate with the OUSD(AT&L) Low Observable/ Counter-Low Observable (LO/CLO) Tri-Service Committee and Executive Committee EXCOM for matters involving LO/CLO per DoDI S-5230.28, and the EXCOM for DoD-related matters. Present MDA cases and concepts for consideration, champion MDA initiatives, and provide a consolidated, organizational position on critical matters regarding foreign disclosure, export issues and multi-national developments. Review and staff and obtain a MDA coordinated position on LO/CLO TSC and EXCOM case material, OPR and decision memos. Facilitate LO/CLO Coordination Panel (LCCP) topics with MDA senior personnel. Lead LO/CLO Coordination Panel (LCCP) working group. Cultivate solutions and build consensus with radar subject matter experts. Prepare staff packages and summary briefings for coordination through leadership. Lead engineering team in the review of program requirements, specs, test plans, and program plans to design security solutions for the successful development, testing, and fielding of missile defense capabilities Determine and/or execute special security actions for a wide range of assignments, such as:
developing Program Protection Plans, Security Classification Guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and Operational tactics/techniques in implementing special program protection Task lead evaluating future technology integration with respect to critical program information (CPI) protection requirements. Support horizontal protection studies and analyses to determine the value of specific classified technologies and ensure classifications are consistent Discover information protection needs for missile defense sensor, interceptor, computer, and communications systems, and define security requirements for these systems. Develop fully integrated system security architectures and support the implementation of security designs. Basic Qualifications Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance BS in Science/Engineering with 12
years of systems engineering experience OR MS with 10
years in systems engineering6
