Summary:
Goldbelt Peregrine Technical Solutions is looking for a Facilities Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Assessment, Exercise, and Modeling and Simulation Support (AEMSS) contract The Mid-Level Facilities Engineer conducts assessments of all aspects of infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities and provides recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilitiesResponsibilities Essential Job Functions:
o Shall conduct assessments of all aspects of infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities, increase the customer's awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capability, and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilitieso Increase the customer's awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capabilityo Provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilitieso Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environmento Manage multiple one-time and/or ongoing projectso Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environmento Use discretion and judgment in organizing workflow and adapting as priorities are modified due to a changing environmento Develop reliability reports to ensure availability and capacity targets are achieved and maintained with 100% uptimeo Frequent contact with employees at all levels of the organization; frequent external contact with vendors #CJ Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
o Knowledge of the building process and construction principleso Proficient working knowledge of relevant regulations and building codeso Capable of operating in all operational and physical environments and work collaboratively with USG military and/or civilian personnel.
o Demonstrate knowledge in operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting and testing critical electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems and building management/automation equipmento Be highly organized, able to work independently and without supervision.
o Possess effective oral and written communication skillso Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Minimum
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or in a closely related field with at least 4 years of related experience OR a master's degree in a related field with 2 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least 8 years of related and demonstrated work experienceo Minimum three (3) years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar roleo Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Officeo Must be a U.
SCitizeno An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance is Requiredo Ability to travel 50% Preferred
Qualifications:
o At least five (5) years' experience identifying infrastructure and equipment related vulnerabilities.
o Previous experience working with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, preferably within the Nuclear Enterprise.
o Previous experience working with CCMDs, Joint Staff, or similar levels elements.
