Summaryo T he Security Control supports the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in executing multiple Security Operations Services at MDA facilities in the United StatesCarries out instructions primarily oriented toward ensuring that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or personsDuties require minimal trainingThe mission of the Security Operations Center (SOC) is to provide security operations across the MDA enterprise supporting facilities, resources, personnel, meetings, missions, and conferences both nationally and internationally allowing the Agency to achieve its strategic goalsResponsibilitieso Serves as the Integrated Electronic Security System and emergency and security communications monitor/operator for MDA facilities.
o Coordinates emergency response to know emergencies or crisis situations within MDA facilities.
o Dispatches all available SOC personnel to emergency/alarm areas to determine the cause of the incident.
o Interpret magnetometers and X-Ray checks according to procedures to ensure security is not compromised.
o Escort on-site personnel to restricted areaso Respond and assist medical, fire department, law enforcement, and other personnel at the direction of supervisors.
o Respond to emergencies and perform CPR/AED/First Aid on an as needed basis.
o Ensure all personnel who require a Common Access Card (CAC) meet the identification requirements before issuing the CAC.
o Issue CACs to military, civilian, and contract government workers on an as needed basis.
o Maintain a daily log of all CACs issued.
o Develop and maintain attendance rosters and after action reports for special events as needed.
o Monitor the Intrusion Detection System, the Proximity Access System, and CCTV Monitoring System.
o Relay, by land line or radio, information to security team regarding security, medical, fire, and disaster details, via the monitoring station.
o Input data into an operation log on an hourly basiso Other duties as assigned Qualificationso Minimum High School Diploma or GEDo Be at least 21 years of ageo Minimum six (6) months experience in badge administrationo Minimum six (6) months experience in common access card administrationo Minimum six (6) months experience in alarm monitoringo Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearanceo Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%), and trained in Red Cross First Aido Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the siteo Speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training materialo Be able to meet any Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as an Unarmed Security Officero Be able to meet drug testing and alcohol - free workforce requirements to include random drug and/or alcohol testingo Possess or be eligible for certification of State security guard requirements and other certifications, as appropriate.
