Overview LMI is seeking a Communications Specialist who will provide strategic and operational communications support to the Army Data and Analytic Platforms (ARDAP), a portfolio of systems that will modernize Army business processes and enable scalable, agile, and trusted data platforms integrated with data services/applications, visualization, and analytic tools to facilitate fact based and resource-informed decision-makingThis will include supporting communications and outreach campaigns, authoring content, and development of communication strategies, products, and solutionsThis position requires an active Secret clearanceNote:
Work location is client site, Fort Belvoir, VATelework is acceptable under current government directed COVID measuresUpon amendment of those measures, liberal telework or a remote location will be acceptable with occasional requirements to travel to client offices at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and other Army locationsResponsibilitieso Create and execute effective communication strategies to support client mission and priorities.
o Support a full-range of communications including talking points, video scripts, social media, memos, organization announcements, webcasts / audiocasts, media interviews - and associated read-aheads for speaking engagements.
o Collaborate with stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, marketing, and design teams to plan and develop content, style, and layout.
o Build and maintain relations among various organizations.
o Provide communications services to convey, promote, and disseminate information to stakeholders related to ongoing and future initiatives under tight deadlines.
o Track, maintain, and develop communications based on stakeholder engagements and feedback loops.
o Use communication strategies to drive adoption of new technology or programso Apply project and time management skills to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate independent follow up on all efforts.
o Provide solutions and manage branding and consistent design to improve user experience with communications.
o Convey, promote, and disseminate various materials related to the organization's priorities and initiatives.
o Liaise with organizations to strategically communicateThis includes working with Public Affairs Officials, legislative affairs, and other DoD components.
o Provide support for public affairs, industry relations, congressional affairs, event management, article creation, graphics, digital media management and protocol.
o Advise the program office leadership on communications to internal team members, higher headquarters, stakeholders, and the public.
o Plan and execute information and promotional campaigns.
o Disseminate information on projects and special programs.
o Provide in-person support for events such as change of charters, industry days, and conferences.
o Develop creative communications that get stakeholder's attention and improves hits on ARDAP mediaand sitesQualifications Required Qualificationso Bachelor's degree with 7 or more years of related experience for large organizations.
o Expertise in communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the organization.
o Working knowledge of remote/virtual meeting environments such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
o Strong organizational skills (e.

o Ability to work in a team-oriented environment for a matrixed organization.

Sgovernment Secret security clearance is required Desired Qualificationso Knowledge of DoD/Army organizations, processes, and communications policieso Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans for DoD, Federal, or governmental organizations.
