Responsibilities:
Client s looking for a Staff Satellite Systems Engineer for one of our premier clients in the Ft.
Belvoir, VA area.

In this role as a Staff Satellite Systems Engineer Staff you will have the opportunity to conduct mission/program-specific operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases.
You will develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics and performance analysis, provide technical direction for mission support, plan for critical activities, and provide alternate operating techniques.
You will have the opportunity to work with different organizations and sites to implement various efforts across the IC.
This includes resiliency test and tactics development as well as ops development.
Qualifications:
Experience or understanding of spacecraft operations.
Experience supporting critical operations.
Experience in any of these Engineering functions:
System integration Planning Software testing System modeling or analysis TS/SCI w Poly This position will require periodic off-hour shifts in support of program activities as well as on-call support.
Some positions will require 24x7 rotating shift support.
100% Onsite at Space Force building in Ft.
Belvoir.
Desired Skills:
Experience with astrodynamics and orbital mechanics including classical orbital (Keplerian) elements.
Understanding of Satellite maneuver tools/techniques.
STK/orbital analysis program experience.
Microsoft Office proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
Matrix mathematics, vector analysis, and an understanding of physics.
Knowledge of feedback control and classic mechanics.
Knowledge of basic coding skills in one or more programming language.
Experience with MATLAB, SQL, HTML, Python, UNIX/Linux.
Experience establishing customer intimacy.
Problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across sites.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Travel Requirements:
This position will involve no travel.
