SummaryThe Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) is the central facility for the acquisition, preservation, protection, retrieval, and dissemination of scientific and technical information supporting the Research and Engineering (R&E) needs of the Department of Defense, as well as federal and industry partners.
DTIC ensures the innovation and knowledge stemming from DoD's past and current investment in science and technology (S&T) forms the building blocks for the next generation of discovery.

Serves as resident personnel management advisor for the Center.
Formulates and implements programs and policies involving a wide range of civilian personnel management functions in DTIC.
Serves as primary focal point and lead action officer for broad studies of the DTIC workforce, operating procedures, proposed new policies, programs and practices as well as implementing instructions.
Develops center-wide performance metrics and prepares and conducts presentations on these matters to all levels of DTIC management.
Provides advice and guidance to supervisors on programs and projects which include administrative programs and support services.

QualificationsTime in Grade:
For entry at the GS-13 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as leading a team, prioritizing workloads and developing personnel; interpreting and developing, regulations, policies and procedures; implementing personnel management programs, i.
e.
, recruitment, staffing, classification, performance management, etc.
; advising on matters such as management-employee relations, time and attendance (pay, hours of duty), and awards (i.
e.
performance, incentive, length of service, etc.
).
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
