Develop new/modified electrical systems equipment.

Requirements Conditions of Employment The position requires the incumbent to lift up to 30 lbs.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience for GS-07:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Work in a developmental capacity to recommend electrical engineering projects to improve the power availability and reliability at critical facilities; 2) Assist with analyzing electrical systems equipment failure; 3) Assist with recommending corrective actions, modifications, and new designs to address electrical equipment problems; and 4) Prepare technical reports, articles, and operating and maintenance instructions.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OREducation:
One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
Electrical Engineering.
ORSuperior Academic Achievement:
In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above.
Superior Academic Achievement is based on:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Electrical Engineering.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

Non-competitive promotion to the next higher grade level, up to the target grade of GS-11, will be based on time-in-grade requirement of 52 weeks, and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
Management may select at any of the grade levels announced.
