Are you ready for your next career challenge? The Leidos Civil IT DOT team is hiring for a Senior LINUX System Engineer to support modernization efforts on the Department of Transportation Enterprise Information Technology Shared Services (DOT EITSS).
The Senior LINUX System Engineer will be Responsible for the day-to-day management of the UNIX/LINUX server infrastructure and be responsible for the management of incidents that occur on the infrastructure.
This position will be located in Washington, DC, with the ability to telework 2-3 days per week.

Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing in UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
Must have a strong skills in writing Ansible playbooks to automate routine LINUX tasks Must have strong skills with RedHat LINUX administration Must have a good understanding of DISA STIG's and creating golden images Basic understanding of LDAP / Kerberos based authentication concepts Understanding creating & hardening the LINUX golden image in Vsphere, AWS, and Azure Must possess a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification or equivalent
Responsibilities:
Will function as a senior team member on the LINUX team Will be responsible for creating & hardening the LINUX golden image in Vsphere, AWS, and Azure Will integrate activities into Ansible to automate tasks Will be working with LINUX systems using AD authentication for login management, so some windows AD skills are beneficial.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the LINUX server infrastructure Provides leadership to the UNIX/LINUX Server team, overseeing activities administering, designing, and implementing RedHat Linux server based solutions Responsible for incident management as it relates to the UNIX/LINUX server infrastructure Performs advanced troubleshooting of complex system issues Works alongside other team members to complete Operational tasks as directed by Federal leadership Work primarily in a virtualized environment.

for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.
00 - $102,000.
00 - $137,700.
00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
