Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented and cleared Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing Mission Solutions team! This opportunity can be supported remotely, with one to two days a week on-site.
In this role you will get to support the Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate at Fort Belvoir, VA with system level architectural design, requirements decomposition and subsystem level interface control documentation.
You will also be engaged with the design, development, test and delivery of a platform-agnostic, scalable imaging sensor system and data framework to provide situational awareness information to vehicle crews and dismounts.
You will be working within multi-disciplinary hardware, software, system integration, and virtual prototyping teams in support of C5ISR Center activities.
You will translate customer requirements into technical requirements and specifications while coordinating with cross-functional development team to ensure we continue to deliver timely and impactful products to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
Produce/author derived system requirements and system specifications from High Level Mission Capabilities.
Perform engineering tradeoffs analysis and develop Course(s) of Action (COAs) using existing constraints/guidelines.
Lead and support engineering design reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
Develop and/or gather information to generate technical documents and reports necessary to support deliverables as required.
Manage risks, identify issues, and develop mitigation plans.
Support the technical execution of the project.
This includes defining and tracking activities ranging from systems engineering, software/hardware development, test/QA and final deployment on customer platforms.
Spearhead continuous process improvement while exhibiting the ability to identify waste in the system and improve the overall process to reduce wasted time and redundancy.
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required along with an active SECRET security clearance Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University 8
years of relevant professional experience
Qualifications:
Experience throughout an entire hardware/software product development lifecycle.
Experience creating standard DoD System Engineering documents/process such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance, and Program Management Review (PMR).
Experience in subsystem integration into a larger system (prefer ground vehicle, but will consider relevant experience on aircraft or ship platforms).
Experience with electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) systems and components.
Experience with Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) Technical Standard.
Experience with US Army PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS) Standardized A-Kit / Vehicle Envelope (SAVE) and GCS Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) Experience with C4ISR/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) Experience with networking interfaces.
Understanding of the Risk Management Framework certification and accreditation process.
