Overview Position is located at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health (AOBH) Clinic.
This position reports to the Chief, Department of Behavioral Health, Works under the general supervision of Chief, DBH and Deputy Commander for Clinical Services FBCH.
Fort Belvoir is in the heart of the DC/VA/MD area and has a modern hospital with wonderful, supportive staff and ample parking.
It is surrounded by some of the best school systems in the USA and is family friendly with plenty of things to do and places to see.

Responsibilities As Service Chief, directs all aspects of the assigned Behavioral Health Service.
Promotes patient centered care and access to quality care.
Responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans that build access and capacity.
Candidates should have expertise and technical knowledge to plan, program and direct a seven-figure budget annually to effectively run Adult Behavioral Health Services.
Candidates should be able to develop and administer long-range goals, in addition to education and quality assurance program goals.
Provide routine, complex and emergency behavioral health care for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders.
Treatment plans reflect advanced knowledge and/or skill and consideration of a variety of alternatives.
Provide appropriate referrals to other medical and mental health care providers internal and external to the MTF.
Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other professional staff, such as psychologists, advanced practical nurses, social workers, as well as military-specific liaison work with commanders.
Set goals and administratively and technically direct the work of subordinates.
Plan, assign, review and accept, amend or reject work done by teams and subordinates.
Assign performance ratings, approve awards and take performance-based corrective actions.
Make work assignments, set or negotiate deadlines and completion dates.
Qualifications Candidate MUST be Board certified.
Basic Requirement for Supervisory Physician (Psychiatry):
Degree:
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States.
Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination.
Licensure:
Applicants must possess a current, active, full and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Graduate Training:
Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, ie, a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Experience/Training:
Applicants must have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled (Psychiatry) and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 5 years.
Experience may not be substituted for residency training that is required for the specialty identified.

A salary quote will not be provided to you at the time of the initial job offer.
The salary determination process begins after the initial job offer is accepted.
This consists of the Activity Compensation Panel adding base pay and market pay to determine your starting salary and this will be provided to you once approved.
Salary for physician positions is based on a tier scale, determined by the position specialty, grade, and location.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
